My GX32 questions

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

Alright, I just got my GX32, and so far I'm loving it. However, I'm hoping somebody can answer a few questions for me:

1) As there is no built in e-mail client, I've been looking around for one. I've tried a few, but haven't found one that supports sending attachments. Does one exist?

2) I can't seem to figure out how to set a custom ringtone for a specific incoming number - this is a pretty rudimentary feature and I was expecting the phone to have it. Was my assumption incorrect, or am I just being a moron and unable to find the option to set a custom ringtone.

Alright, that's all I've got for now. My $.02 on the phone - ok size, great feel, very light, awesome call quality (it's great having 850 in Toronto), ringtones are loud enough. I pretty much concur with most of the other reviews on here, and my single major gripe is MP3 ringtones.

Thanks for any help in advance!

1) If you have read all the theads about GX32, you should find out that there is no buit-in email client and even you download some Java email application on the phone can only read the received email, not sent (as far as i read the theads). Lucky me that i don't email otherwise i may need to give my GX32 up.

2)Yes. You can custom ringtone for a specific incoming number. First, the phone # has to be saved in the phone memory (not sim), then go to the particular person's name, press the center button, then go all the way down to where you see a "music note icon", press center button again, then choose "On", and finally you can assign particular ringtone and light color for that particular person. That's it!

Enjoy!!

With a Java App you can send and receive emails. I use one also, and it works great, just no outgoing attachments, as the Java app cannot read from the Phone's folder.

So without MMS, is there no way that I can send pictures with my GX32?

Correct. Unless you download it to your PC, and send via email that way.
