SL55 Question re: Slide

Hi Siemens People!

I am going to be a proud owner of one of these little gadgets but I had a few technical questions to ask.

I found a cell shop by my house that is offering me $100 for a slightly used (few scratches on screen, but none on casing or keys) Ruby Red SL55, for trade in for my year old Sanyo 8100 and a two year old Samsung S105. I am considering going through with the deal but besides the scratches on the screen, there is one thing where I noticed about the slide.

When you slide the phone up is it supposed to be solid in the sense that it does not wooble side to side when you lightly push the side of the top slide? I have not actually played with a brand new one before so I am not sure whether it is supposed to be like that or now.

Any help or comments would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Best,

sukiisukii

the top of my SL55 also wobbles a bit, but only a very little bit! Just a millimeters, or something like that. So it's not uncommon, I guess

yeah mine wobbles a little bit. There is a thread here that will help you tighten the sliding screen.

Thanks for all the replies!

I purchased the phone today! And I am already in love!!

The one thing I noticed about it is that once in a while the phone will shut down for no apparent reason... Now... is that supposed to happen

But overall it is such an adorable phone with just enough features for a user like me.

Cheers
