MPX 200 Vs Treo 600

I current own a mpx200 for use on ATT. I have been given a chance to switch to a treo 600. What would you recommend I do? Which phone would you choose and why?

For free? If it's for free, even I would do it and I hate Handspring / Palm devices. The one and only Handspring device I had was the biggest piece of crap I ever bought. If I didn't like the Treo 600, I would just sell it and with the money just get another MPx200 or wait for the next Smartphone. If you have to pay some money to get the Treo 600 or give something else, it would depend how much you would have to give up.

It depends on what you want it for. The MPx200 is a Smartphone with the emphasis on phone. It's basically a phone with some extra multimedia features. The Treo 600 is a complete hybrid of a phone and PDA. It can do just about anything a normal PDA can and it can do them just as good in most cases.

That is EXACTLY the switch I made. I sold my MPx200 and got the Treo and would not consider going back. The MPx200 is a really good phone, but in certain areas it fell short for my needs. The Treo certainly is a great improvement, but has features I don't really need as well. Right now, I'm trying to choose between the Treo and my V600...to me, that is a tougher decision than between the Treo and the MPx200(and I have been a big fan of Pocket PC...).

I merged the two separate threads about this into one. You really don't need to double post it.

I am going to be doing a lot of traveling here about 2 weeks. I know that the mpx does not have the 850 band, while the treo does. The treo also has an sdio slot while the mpx is only sd. The camera does not make a difference to me. Those 2 things are the only ones that are impacting my choice.

I have both the MPx200 and the Treo 600. I use a BlackBerry because I must have push e-mail. If I had to choose between the MPx200 and Treo 600 I would probably take the Treo 600. more applications; bigger screen, quad band (not only does the MPx200 not have 850, it doesn't have 900 either). Both integrrate nicely with Outlook (if that's a requirement). No flaming please - I've just be unimpressed with the MPx200.

I have had all of them as well... MPx- Treo 600 and BlackBerry....

The Treo screen was a real turn off for me as was the inconsistant user interface of the applications. The form factor was good for the device type and quad band was nice. One thing about the Treo... it's fragile compared to an MPx 200 or a BlackBerry.

If you really need 850 then it may be the best compromise... but BlackBerry 7280 is tri-band (no 900) and that may be the best choice of all.

Well I went ahead and got the treo this morning. I didn't have to pay anything for it!! From the little that I have played with it, it is better than the mpx200 for what I need it for. The speaker phone is so much louder and the potential of wifi/bluetooth (hopefully soon) is a nice feature. I still love the mpx200 and have no problem selling them to customers who want a nice phone. I think that the new mpx that is coming out will be something to give the treo 600 a real run for its money.

I am in the same situation except I can replace my SE P800 with a Treo 600.

A more difficult conundrum. I would miss the Bluetooth but keep reading that it may be available soon.

Opinion are welcome.
