to upload ringers and backrounds on to your phone? Then you would need GAGIN. And for the housing look on ebay and be sure to type in "motorola cdma t720 housing" since most of the ones for sale on there are for the GSM models.

can anyone post a link for me thanks in advance!

To add ringtones and wallpapers to you're phone, you'll need PST 6.7 cracked and EMS Manager. Both can be found on ************. The site is in Spanish, but you can still navigate around it. For the CDMA Full Housing, check out daydeal.com. They have T720 and T722 style housings for $20 US, and free shipping.

PST Instructions:
1.)The first thing you need to do is find the PST install folder and right click it. Select properties from the context menu and go to the compatibility tab.

Check “Run this program in compatibility mode for:” and select “Windows 2000” from the drop box. And click on “Ok”.

2.) Install PST by running the File.
3.) Run PST. It will find some new devices and ask for Driver locations.
Point Windows to the PST folder. At this point it should install a few devices. When all the devices are done installing you can open up your Device Manager to see that we are where we need to be.

If you see this Yellow Exclamation Point on a USB Composite Device, all is going well so far.

4.) Open Up Regedit by selecting run from the start menu and typing “Regedit.exe”. Its always a good idea to make a backup of your registry before making any modifications. To do this go to File, select Export create a name like “registryBackup” and make sure that for Export Range at the bottom, All is selected. Then hit Save and you are ready to make your changes.

Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Enum\U
SB

Right click on the USB folder and select permissions.
Make sure “Everyone” has “Full Control” selected.

Now begins the fun, you have to locate your Motorola Phone Device from one of the many devices under your USB folder.

Other than by going through each branch individually there are a few other ways you can find the correct “Folder”.
My Way:
Search for the string “usbccgp”
The results for this search will be all the devices that are classified as a “USB Composite Device.”
You will know you have found the right device when you see your phones name for the “LocationInformation” string value.

Double Click on the “Service” Key and change the Value from usbccgp to usbhub.

Inside this “Folder” we are working in should be another folder called “Control”. Locate and expand that folder.

Inside the control folder should be a string value called ActiveService modify the value to read usbhub.

Don’t worry if the key isn’t there, just go ahead and add it. On the righ side of Control pane, right click, select New¸String Value. Type in ActiveService for the name and double click it to set usbhub for its value. It should then resemble the picture above.

5.) At this point we unplug the phone and wait for about 5-10 seconds and plug it back in. If PST is not already running, then run it as well. Windows should now find new devices and again ask for driver locations. Again point them to the PST folder. You may have to do this step two or three times. After all the devices are detected and installed, they should appear as follows in the Device Manager.

If there are still exclamation points, remove the devices from the device manager. Close down PST, unplug the phone and reboot.
From that point, plug in the phone, run PST and go through the detection again. This should solve your problem!

EMS Instructions:
You'll need at least one ringtone on your phone to create the M-Service Backup in PST. To do this, either download one off Get It Now or create one in media center ->my tones. Once you have created the M-Service Backup in PST, copy the file as a backup incase something goes wrong with the other file. After, load the "non" back-up file in EMS and add ringtones and wallpapers.

Hope this helps you.

I just wanted to add that the original poster ought to take a look at the Yahoo groups that focus on the T720 (esp. VZW_T720 and Motorola_T720). Also GAGIN does not work with the latest T720c firmware -- but PST does.

when using bitpim what folder in the directory do i add games too? my t720c is a cricket phone so it didnt have games in the first place but i did flash it.

I never uploaded games or apps with the cable. I believe the easiest way would be if you still have one of the earlier firmware (1.19 or 1.22) you can use GAGIN. I remember hearing that the latest firmware also changed Brew so that it's encrypted in some way. I don't know if that's true, or if there is a way with PST. The best place to get more info is probably the Yahoo groups that focus specifically on the T720c.

I was under the impression this was needed only for the older versions of PST... Did I misunderstand?

I didn't have to do that with PST 6.3.1 under WinXP Pro SP1 to use it with my T730 and real Motorola Serial datacable.

I believe the main issue was older versions of PST (pre 6, specifically.9) were not XP compatible. Furthermore, it had problems with the USB cable, but the serial cable worked fine. I believe that changed when 6 was released.
