screen (i.e. how do you click on links and stuff).

Also, what are some good general interest (e.g. news) websites that are optimized for the Smartphone?

You click on links using the directional pad and the "OK" button (in the middle of the directional pad)

Well, just about any website that is optimized for a Pocket PC or Palm is also fine for the smartphone. Although the screen is slightly narrower than a Pocket PC (176 vs. 240), it doesn't seem to make a difference. Microsoft has a listing of some smartphone websites. For news, I found one for the BBC, Guardian, MS-NBC, Yahoo News, MSN News, and USA Today.

There are also a couple websites I found that have streaming video optimized for the smartphone. It's nice to be able to watch a movie trailer while you're at the ticket counter trying to make up your mind which movie you want to see.
