NEC 525 picture resolution what should it be!?

My pictures from my NEC are only coming out at half of what it should be.
160x144 instead of 320x288
Why is this?
Theres no menu feature for resolution on any NEC 525.

320*288 = approx 93000
or 160*144 = approx 23000
seeing as how the NEC 525 has a 100k pixel camera, I would be inclined to believe the resolution is closer to 320*288
