Is this wrong? Is the problem of not being able to upload java applications / games in the pc software and not the phone or are they talking bull.

“File Transfer Option - To allow Java Applications/Games, MP3's and Video to be uploaded and downloaded for backup on your PC.”

I checked also. That software seemingly has one more option on the left side, where you can choose the options. And it states clearly in the description, that it has the added feature of Loading Java apps. To tell you the truth, I think it is a scam, or misadvertising, but it would be so fantastic, wouldnt it?

How can we find out? Did somebody test that software?

EDIT: Just checked again. The new option on the left is a Messaging menu. You can send SMS, etc. Useless. So I guess that File transfer thing is just as it is now, sound, video, picture.

I asked the vendor months before and they said something like this:
That software have many versions for different devices. It can transfer Java on certain phones (that makes it possible).

Dear Mr Stubbs,

I can confirm that the program will allow Java Applications/Games to be both up and downloaded via the cable to a pc. Is this correct

You are advertising the above item on your site and in the details you specifically say that the program will allow Java Applications/Games to be both up and downloaded via the cable to a pc. Is this correct ? I would only buy the product if this was definately possable.

I look forward to hearing from you soon

Hi

Bob!. Will you get the software? You should make sure they will buy it back if it wont allow you to upload Java apps to and from the phone.

Cheers

Based on the reply from Fone Data they are confident that it will up and download java games.

Looking closer at their advert they give it the code MA-8120c which is a Mobile Action Technology No. So I sent them an email as well , below is their reply :-

Dear customer:

Thank you for using Mobile Action products.

For Sharp GX-30, we arleady has MA-8120C USB cable adapter to support it.

However, due to the specifications of the Sharp GX-30's firmware, Handset Manager for this cellular phone model will not be able to support java upload/download function.

Best regard

Sincerely yours

Sarah Lin

Are you able to say when you will have a USB Data Suite available for the Sharp GX30 and can you say if it will support the uploading/downloading of Java Applications.

This email should be forwarded to the company who sent you initially, that it will work.

What a bummer. But it was what we expected, right?
