Its a redesigned GX20/21/22 .

The phone looks big and doesn't have anything overly speical about it to make it different from the crowd except maybe the sliding keypad. It has most of the features that the gx30 has, but doesn't even have BT. Looks like this phone is pretty much standard for today's uses.

Nothing standard about that screen and camera, unless your comparing to other sharp phones, nothing else on the GSM market can touch them in those 2 key areas.

Well according to the technology availalble to day, it has nothing new is all i'm saying. Yes basically I'm comparing it to the latest and the best, SHARP.
For what's out today, it is standard. Since it also came out after the release of the gx32, i don't think that they added anything speical to this one, although i could be wrong.

No your correct, it seems that voda/smartone/fareastone have more clout with sharp, as they get the premium model. T-mobile get the above handset, which is by no means bad, just a step or two behind what we know sharp are capable of.

and also a step or two above anything available as a subsidized phone through any carrier in the us - no other phone can touch the camera or screen on that thing (at least, nothing available through any of the carriers)

YEs, and it has E-mail client and alarm in the calendar. Sharp finally got it together...

Actually, this is just another example of Sharp working with an Operator to give them exactly what they want. See May's T3 magazine 'Asian Invasion' article to read all about how Sharp got into bed with Vodafone to produce phones to the Operator's needs. And now they're doing it again with T-Mobile. I'm sure we'll see even more of it in the future.
