I wish they could come out with a case for the slider that allows you to see the screen and slide the phone up, but still being protected at the same time...like other phones have. Is this even possible, it cant be that hard to do, I want one because the screen needs protection and the screen protectors I use only last so long...what do you guys think?

I wish there was a better way too, but at least there are a number of replacement faceplates available that if the screen gets messed up you can trade the faceplate out.

The holsters let you slide the phone up while in the holster, but that doesn't protect the screen. Maybe some kind of two-piece case like Verizon makes available for smaller clamshells would somehow work, but I don't see a way how that could easily be done. Maybe a case with a safe adhesive that would stick to the faceplate instead of cover it would work.

Dang I wish there was a good case for the Slider we could buy that would protect the phone and at the same time let you slide it...still protecting the screen...hmm maybe I should email kyocera and ask if its possible or somethin, all i do now is use pda screen protectors for the phone and it makes me mad because the lint from my pants pocket always gets caught on the screen and ends up makin me replace them pretty quick.

I also use the pda screen protectors and i use the holster but the screen does get damaged quick making me change them i also wish they had a good protector

Radio Shack has a cool leather case for the phone. I am using one now. It was $29.99 but it was definitely worth it.

Thanks for the help, I'll check out RadioShack when I can, but I'm pretty sure it was the same one I found on the Verizon website, which I've heard some negative reviews about.

I'm using a Sony-Ericsson case. The case is horizontal (follows your belt line). Why more cos don't make their cases like this....with vertical ones you are asking to get stabbed by the antenna when you sit.

The problem with the Verizon case, is that you have unsnap it to slide the phone.

Perhaps, some one could make one with an elastic attatchment that stretches as the slide is moved up, but I doubt there is a large enough market.
