I still wait for the day Panasonic or all japanese phone makers for that matter will bring the rest of the world up to speed and offer their more "up to date" phones that are available in Japan.... here's the "budget low end (in Japan)" panasonic 252is....

sigh.... it's depressing when I have an awesome docomo phone and j-phone sitting on my desk here collecting dust............

and i agree 110% with magurochan. when will they bring the rest of the world up to date. i mean if that is meant to be budget low end in japan, i dread to think what the high end spec'd up ones must be like!!! and that phone would sell soooooo much here in the UK. what do u think pilchard. ur from england too. wouldnt that fone totally sell?

I spend time in both Japan and Toronto so trust me I know all about it. I suffer in Toronto with my X70 (and it's a great phone for North America) but nothing compared to it's Japanese counterparts (the X70 was in Japan over 3 years ago - took them that long to put a sim card slot in and make it gsm

)....

The market in Japan is very different from the rest of the world, but the rest of the world is getting better, camera phones and more advanced phones are getting more and more popular which should be a hint to carriers and manufacturers...

As shown in this picture I took, variety and selection in Japan is unparalleled....

Yeah it's hard to believe the P252is is a lower end phone... the 25Xis series fall below the 50Xis and then below the 900 series in Japan.....

the Panasonic 505is is another awesome phone....

i got it, i got it.
The screen not very bright, it's just STN LCD.
The size very small, same with X66, but quit thick.
The phone actually exactly same spec with X66, just with minor upgrade in the hardware.

um... over here our lower ends are like.... nokia series 40s lol.. bring those to japan ppl will be like wtf is that a candy bar? are u supposed to eat it or something?

haha or they'd toss it away and give you a low end jap phone that is equal or better than any of our high end phones
