How do I disable the RL button, so that if I press it accidentally it won't prompt me to re-enable RL. When I first got the phone, the RL button just made the backlight turn on. Then I signed up to try RL for a few months, which made the button activate the RL. But now that I don't have RL on my account anymore, I dsabled RL in my settings, but it still prompts me as to whether I would like to turn it on whenever I press that button. It is so annoying... I hope someone has the answer

he says he has readylink disabled in the settings... on my 5400 (dunno why the 5500 would be different), if I disable RL and then hit the RL button, it just beeps at me and says RL is disabled... but doesn't ask if I want to enable it.

I know what you mean, Jesse. Unfortunately there is no way to stop that prompt, even when RL is disabled.

i think it only goes away on the 8200

Actually, it doesn't prompt me on my 4500, which is odd. the button no longer does anything, what a waste.

i had the same problem with my rl7300. I fixed it by disabling the rl feature then shutdown my phone for 5 sec then turn on again .. problem fixed. Try it .. on your model.. not sure if it work but sure did on my 7300
