Hi, I just got a VX4600 and I am trying to connect it to my laptop to use NationalAccess MOU and upload ringtones. I have done it with a VX6000 with the VX6000 mobile office kit, but when I used the VX6000 cable with the VX4600, nothing is detected. Should I order the VX4600 Mobile Office Kit from Verizon? I want to order from B2B because it is cheaper, but there is no menu option for the VX4600. If I order the VX4500 one, is it possible to use that cable for the 4600. Or should I just buy a different cable. Any suggestions?

The VX4500 cable will work for the VX4600. Some VX6000 cables will also work for the VX4600, but only if they have the box in the middle, and are not charging cables.

i think the first thing you have to do is to check to see if the 4600 supports serial or usb cables.

jason330i: the 4600 does not support true usb communications so you need to use a Serial-to-USB cable (one with a box in the middle.)
