im not sure which program to install from the CD given
also ... can i use any midi file as my ringtone for z600?

To trasnfer, install xtdn and that'll include the mobile phone monitor (?) which will allow your computer to recognize your phone when it's plugged in. Than you can use "SendFiles", Float's mobile agent (which doesnt' require the xtdn) and many other different apps to get this done. There're tons on the web .. just check out myt610.com for the softwares.
and the phone also support midi ring tones.
