Got My T616 Wet and now won't turn on

I've read previous threads about people who have gotten their phone wet and they were told to buy another one. Well here's my situation:

I dropped my phone in a cup of water. It sat in the cup no longer than 3 seconds. I took it out and immediately dried it off. The phone powered off by itself. I then took the battery and SIM card out and used Q-tips to dry out the board under the SIM card. After all the visible water was removed, I replaced the SIM card and battery, placed the back cover back on, and attempted to turn the phone on again. The phone turned on with no porblem. After this I placed the phone on the charger. When I woke up the next morning, the phone was off. It still won't turn on. When I place the phone on the charger, the charging light in the middle of the nav button turns red like it's charging, so I would assume the board isn't fried.

Anyone know of any remedy to the situation other than purchasing a new phone? I've tried using a hair dryer on the phone to dry up any excess water that might still be sitting in the phone.

Please help!
