If any one can answer this one .... I purchased the standard USB data cable from verizon and it works fine with the verizon software that came with it, but it wont work with BITPIM. Ive tried to dowload different drivers and all but nothing seems to work. I keep getting this exception error. Yes ive got the latest version of Bitpim but nothing seems to work. Ive been thinking of going to radioshack to get the cable that everyone here has been using but I hate to waste a cable from Verizon that I paid $42.00 for. Any fixes or Replys would be great.

The only thing that works in BitPim is the filesystem view. Somtimes you will get exceptions trying to view it, but keep trying, it ussally works after the third time.

Can BitPim see your phone when you browse for com ports?

Your cable should work with BitPim.

got it to work, now Im just learning how to add pics, do I need to resize my pics that i am adding? I already sent the dummy pix by VZW.com and I can see it in the file system, just dont know if I need to resize it before I overwrite it? Also what format do you guys suggest .jpg, gif, png what works best? thanks

I've got the verizon "mobile office" kit which I installed on Windows 98 SE. I then downloaded BitPim and was able to back up my phone with it. I wonder if your operating system or the order in which you loaded the kit and software my be causing problems. Good luck.
