Help With Overwriting Jpeg Wallpaper

OK, so here is my big dilemna that has actually kept me up all night trying to figure out what to do. Yes, ladies and gentlemen, I spent an entire night trying to work out the kinks of upload/replacing wallpapers and fixing errors incurred along the way.

SO...
I decided that since I was limited to only 20 wallpapers, that I would simply replace some of the defaults with my own wallpapers with the same exact name. This worked out fine for all the BMP wallpapers. I opened up Adobe, made some 120x131 Bitmap images, changed the mode to "Indexed Color", and saved the file as the name of one of the default wallpapers (example: martini.bmp). I then opened up Bitmap and did the whole "Overwrite File" to replace the default wallpaper with my own.

THEN...
I tried to do the same with the jpg default wallpapers, but then went I went to my graphics folder the file name would show up, but no image. Am i doing something wrong? Does the file have to be a specific size when working with jpegs? I tried reducing the size so it was under 16800, but still nothing. I even changed the image size back and forth between 120x160 and 120x131. Nothing. I am baffled. I would really love to learn how I can "fool" my phone into allowing me to replace the Default JPEG Wallpapers with my own like I was able to do with the BMP Default Wallpapers.

Any suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated considering I have been working on this all night long and the sun has already come up.
