Anyone know of any programs that might be able to access my aol email on my 7510? I just purchased this and I was searching around hofo for info, but it didnt seem to pull up the aol search term in my search. It seems reqwireless' gotmailviewer doesnt work on the bb. Hoping there is something else out there...

Does AOL not have POP3 access? You could setup your BWC (Blackberry Web Client) to pull mail from the AOL POP3 account and forward to your Blackberry.

Yes, you can configure a POP poll on your AOL email (15 minute frequency)
If AOL email is lower priority because of spam and other stuff, you can also configure your Blackberry to not alert you whenever AOL email arrives on your Blackberry (requiring you to only glance at the Blackberry when you feel like checking for AOL email), and only alert you when urgent emails arrives from specific people.

It isnt high priority email, and I cant stand aol's lack of flexibility, but what can you do.
I can configure the pop poll within aoL? Or is this done through an independent service that is available out there?
Thanks guys..

Your ISP will provide you with a Blackberry Web Client Accouint, where you can configure everything online. It's just like a webmail account but allows you to configure it to "pull" email from other POP servers (at a 15 minute frequency). You can usually configure priority levels there, so that your Blackberry only vibrates on urgent emails (like your boss or your spouse!)
Further filter fine-tuning can usually be done through Blackberry Desktop, which you install on your computer to sync your addressbook from your computer to the Blackberry.

yea but last i checked aol did not have pop capability

I have a user that uses the NOL AOL Portal to get their AOLMAIL. I also believe it is possible to use the reqwireless emailviewer to IMAP AOL Mail but that costs $. NOL is free.

you dont need it though! Trust me...put in your email address from aol, your acct name and password, and you WILL get your email.

I have used this service for the last 6 months and it works great. These people will pull your email from AOL and forward it to any device. The $9 a month deal is FAST!

i'll confirm that you can enter your aol info as an email account on the blackberry and it works.. i did it!

Was pretty easy , right? And I think there is only a 5 or so minute delay. Depends i guess. But it goes to show, why pay 9 bucks a month for something you can get free?
