I have a cingular sony-ericson GAIT phone. I just got a Motorola V400 GSM phone. Is there any way to use the GAIT sim card in the new Motorola V400 GSM phone?

I don't see why not. All a GAIT phone is, is a phone with GSM , analogue, and TDMA all built in. If you put your sim in a regular GSM phone it should work just the same.
