My X70 seems to have died!!!!

I tried reflashing my X70 with A31 firmware and I took the phone straight from being fully charged as usual and connected it up. Got a couple of adb errors and then it proceeded flashing the firmware with the photolight on?!?!? Once it got to about 7.5meg the phone turned itself off. The light would turn on when you'd put it on charge, but as I read it'd probably not charge so I put in my second battery which was fully charged. Started the flash again and I have just been getting adb errors. Now the phones suddenly turned off and not giving any signals at all, not even when put it on charge.

Has my phone gone forever? Or can it be saved?

My phone has started to be allowed to be tried and flash again. But just keeps coming up with ADB error everytime that WinMoDo reaches the parameters exchange section and WinMoDo says.

Have tried all the way down to 19200 and still same error! Is there a way to get past this!!!

eeek!!! this is not a good sign!!! if you havnt tried reflashing, do so although it probably wont work. i guess what you need to do is clear everything, every last byte off of its memory and then reflash. so your best bet without fecking things up any further is sending to panasonic. sorry.

How do I wipe all the memory? Would CB2000 work with it in its current state?

Mines still dead atm. I am going to try contacting Panasonic about it but a phone bought from Japan on ebay damaged by attempting to flash it is a bit flakey to say the least

If you try to reflash the phone with winmodo and it does not work, I'm sorry but your pcb is dead. I would suggest that you take the phone to the service centre to get it repaird. I had once done a bad flashing on my GD87 and the pcb just went dead. I had to get it repaired.

Anyway try flashing with winmodo again and if it does not work,I'm very sorry about it but your phone is dead. Please make sure that you do not detach your cables at anytime unless you have finish flashing the file.

Everytime I try and flash the phone it does just come up saying ADB error. This happens just when the LCD says that its exchanging parameters and then this comes up. One think I have noticed is that the flash software on the LCD of the pgone now says X70 Secure V2.0. All prevois flash attempts pre A31 said version 1.0. Could they have changed their software so older versions wouldn't work?

I have just got my X70 back from Panasonic and it works again yay!!! From the invoice says they tried a reflash and then replaced the PCB. They did it under the warranty too! The firmware version on it is A31.

My advice though is to act dumb on the phone so they don't think you've buggered it while flashing.

Even if they sussed you knackered it by trying to reflash it they might have given you the benefit of the doubt. Good customer service sells them more phones after all.

I once dropped my playstation down the stairs and actually told them this (don't ask me why!) and they still replaced it for free! You are more likely to tell people about a helpful company than one that stitches you up after all...

I am very relieved. Tho annoying that have to upload loads of ringtones again. Also its a bonus that thanks to the USB cable that I had a backup of my phonebook!!!!
