Originally posted by RevIllusions I sent these settings to my Hong Kong market V600 using the V400 settings. I recieve the update, but it gives me a Exceeds Maximum Limit, Can Not Update Web Sessions Profile. Can someone post up the settings here so I can do this manually. It would be good for this thread anyway

Originally posted by TriBand81 It just says PIN? I never get that when receiving the settings via SMS. It could be that the phone is asking for the security code which is 000000 (default) or the phone unlock code which is 1234 according to my V525 manual. |

Originally posted by famewolf I'm hesitant to mess with my phone's wap settings..cause wap works right now but everytime I turn the phone off and back on it resets the homepage to the t-mobile site instead of my personal homepage...would downloading the settings allow me to alter the homepage and have it stay? |

Originally posted by dbranson I decided to randomly pick a phone, and picked nokia ngage. the settings were sent to my phone, along with a message saying that the contents of this message can't bve displayed. No option to open/save to settings, etc.

Originally posted by dbranson No, no pocket pc as an option. I suppose I could just go through and try each one, but that seems silly. I thought the ngage might be close to the ppc format, but that didn't work either. When the tmobile server does send settings, my sms on the phone says that file is unreadable or can't be opened. |

Nor will many be. Well the newest ones that is. I believe I am on the money. If this is for free wap, your not paying for a HTTPS secure port but most of us are doing fine with what we have using the basic port. So I may be wrong, BUT, it wouldnt stop you from getting your FREE WAP |

Originally posted by coenan there is something goofy about the 5100. I actually called tmobile to configure the settings. After a couple of transfers, I got a guy from teh wireless data group. He tried sending a sms message to the configurator does. I never received it. ack. So he tried to walk me through it. For some reason in the menus on 5100, there is no entry for IP address for GPRS (bearer) settings. I don't know why. I popped my sim card in my 6200 and all worked fine. go figure. |
