First off, I don't jack diddly about cell phones, as this is my first one.

1) I have an Sanyo SL2000
2) I do not subscribe to any additional features like Vision etc

If I have a USB data cable for the phone, can I d/l images and ring tones directly from a PC to the phone?

Thanks in advance,

ax-man

I think you mean RL2000, not SL2000. This is the handset I carry. Futuredial sells a data cable and software called SnapMedia that should do the job for you (although I haven't personally used this software and can't vouch for it). You can also download this content to your handset via Vision service. It costs 1.5 cents per KB transferred if you don't subscribe to a Vision package; plan on spending about $1 per ring tone in data transfer fees, if you go this route (believe me, it adds up fast).

Sprint will give you two months of Vision service for free, if you'd like to try it out; that way, you can see whether it's worth the $15/mo. If you call them to cancel, they'll sometimes knock the price down to $10/mo.

Thanks. That's the phone! I'll check out Futuredial.
BTW, I've tried a bunch of phones and this is the only one that gives me any reception at all in fringe areas (where I live). I almost gave up on Sprint until I tried this phone.
