Can I connect my LG 5550 to my PC to transfer files to it?

I want to figure out how to transfer custom audio files, ring tones, pictures, etc to my LG 5550.

Does anyone know if I can connect it to my computer?

So far the only way to get crap on it seems to be if I buy it over that annoying EasyEdge service, and that service doesn't even have anything I want on it anyway!

Ahh of COURSE a data cable, so if I just re-calibrate the EPS manifold and match the subspace harmonics of the anti-matter injectors to resonate with the dilithium crystals with a 2 Cochran differential then I can reconfiguire the deflector dish to transmit on the carrier wave and...

(So uhm... more on this data cable)

jeeez, make sure you use a 4.5 Cochran differential, otherwise your carrier wave will be all screwed up...

Well, I was looking for the cable you need, and I've gotten conflicting information, some sources say that you need the following:
a data cable that works with the LG VX4400 and/or 5350. (http://www.cellularaccessory.com/clgim02a03.html)
That will work with your phone, or you can pic it up at your local Radioshack, just ask for part # 170-0789

other places say that you need the a cable that works with the VX6000, 5450, or 4500, and 4600.

I'm sorry that I can't be of more help but I don't have the phone myself so I can verify which cable you need.

I have the LG 5550 and my wife has the 6000. I have plugged my 5550 into her cable. Physically it fits - Windows 98 (was doing this at work) located a Qualcomm (sp?) phone/modem. However I have no drivers specific for this phone so I couldnt get anything to work. If you want to experiment then the LG 6000 cable is the one you want - same pinout as the 5550.
