What is flashing & how is it done? Are flash files the s/w which is req. to use a maobile (i.e. the main or service software)? Pls. reply with appropriate links for the best details.

all i know is that flashing is to update the firmware inside of the phone. they do it with cables, and im guessing with a computer. i dont know but it def. is good for the phone if yours is out of date. i sent my 3595 to nokia in virginia and they did it for me. cost was 105.00$ including shipping. thats all i know. i learned most of it from these forums and i am a pc tech/ network admin and i flash the bios of comps all day long so i knew that much. 1
