Hi...just wanted to know if there are any good 1 + megapixel GSM phones out now? (Besides Sharp GX22, GX32)
I know there are some nice 3G phones...but i am looking for GSM in particular....

not yet, wait till late june, theyll hit u faster than a train, ull never miss them, only place u can get them now is japan, but they aint gona work here so no point..lol just buy a 3mp digi cam and tape it t your phone..wam bam u got yerself a mp camera phone

The only 1MP GSM phone out now is the GX-3x series. Some phones in Japan are 2MP already!!! Sadly they only work in Japan though. Expect 1MP phones from SE, Samsung and Nokia sometime this year.

Nokia goes 1MP? No way! Nokia still uses 4096 colors for its new N-Gage.

Also expect BenQ to release 1MP camera phone some time this year.

If you look on the site there are wuite a few phones from Nokia with 65k screens. Im not sure why the N-Gage was 4096 but there are 65k tout there. They have a phone comin out with a 1 MP cam and 10 min of video recording.

Yeah...so impatient....i saw one of those Docomo phones from Japan...the Panasonic P900i. 3G phone...×××× it looked nice..specs on paper seemer ok but when i saw that screen and camera....it made the gx-32 look on so so..heh heh

Anyone know where i can get the Vodaphone Sharp V801SH? Heh heh that's not bad...for now. ×××× gotta find someone to unlock it too....

That's because the new N-gage is made to cut costs further, so they use a cheap screen. And original n-gage games don't use more than 4096 colors, so there's little point in putting a nicer screen.

Many of Nokia's newer phones have 16-bit screens. Such as the 6230, or the 6600 (the latter has quite a nice screen). The 7610 is going to have a megapixel camera. Nokias seem to have pretty decent picture quality, but viewfinder can be either really bad (some older ones) or really good (6600).

My favourite of the soon to be released phones above 1 MP is the DBtel M8, its been delayed so much its not funny anymore, but its little brother the M7 is now in the stores, so it shouldn't be too long.

i hope taiwanese companies such as Okwap, benq and dbtel will come out with more triband so we can use them here in Canada... well okwap and benq already have phones in progress.. hope they come out soon.. i like their designs.

you'll never get that v801 unlocked. no one has been able to do it YET and i don't think they will...heheh!

Hey, don't forget MiTAC, their next model Mio 8860 supports WiFi connectivity, which allows 54Mb/sec data rate (within 300 feet though). Now, that's TRUE wireless broadband.

Whatever brand...no matter to me really...as long as everything works as its listed on paper...heh ehh and has all the general features these days...
