I will be traveling and its been 3 years since i've been on a plane. I was wondering, is it safe and will they allow me to use my Palm Zire 71 on the plane? Do planes allow the use of laptops too?

I hope airport security wont get nosey and actually access my private files

you are allowed to use Palm Zire 71 on the plane, and the airport security would not access your private files. the most is they would require you to turn on and off to show the unit actual works.

and yes, they allow passengers to use laptop in the plane as well.

they do not allow any radio transmit device being used in the plane, such as FM radio, portable tv, CB radio, walkie-talkie, and cell phone.

i heard some airlines do not allow passengers to use Treo 600 with the wireless OFF mode activated in the plane.
