I've received my fone on thursday morning july 19,
and like ITS GREAT

FIRST THING IS READ THE MANUAL

unless you are a genius then it'll be difficult to figure the phone out for sure...

FONE=phone so lazy

after u read it and play with it it gets easier to use
for someone who went from NOKIA fones to motorola's only i find this fone like a motorola in most ways almost, and least like a nokia (any model)

what i hate most
small joystick to scroll, and software could have more features, hard to read if light isn't on in day time, volume has like 3 settings could have more for ear volume and fone ringers vol. everyone will most likely get it, can be improvemetns for VTECH on their next fone

what i like the most
lights up orange, its light, its small, its cheap fone, looks good, excellent reception (to me better than 3390 and 8390) looks great, its new, great pricing have to mention, unique, comesd in two colors silver and blue, not many functions, so can't get confused, lots of regular features u expect, big images to let u know what is goin on, great games... and it liGHTS UP ORANGE
only reason i bought it at first haha

CONclusion

WATCH OUT NOKIA AND MOTOROLA
VTECH IS COMING (they are beginning to be a player)
mitsubishi fone was CRAP... 8890 8390 v66 all nice
i have used many telus fones name it
scp5000, v60c, timeport, startacs, etc etc etc
and used v66, v60g, t68 etc etc nokia all of them for gsm
THIS ONE is GREAT FOR THE PRIce

BEST BANG FOR BUCK In my ratings and REVIEW
howard should review this fone for sure
its so small light and unique and girls give me the thumbs up
(hopefully not only for the fone)
other than that its GREAT
RECOMMEND YOU BUY IT
won't regret spending 75 bucks or 125 bucks or anything
its still a bargain for what you are getting

i really hope ur not implying that vtech will ever hold more market shares in the phone industry than Nokia and Motorola.

but it sounds like a pretty good phone...there's lots of commotion about this phone right now....i will definitely pick one up myself to try out.

Great Phone!

I really like the joystick feature and the size and weight. They sales guy said the product was designed in Calgary. Alright, "I am Canadian".

Hi all,
It's my first post here. Just got the A700 and I'm loving it. I'm just a little concerned about the durability of the handsfree attachment, but I suppose only time will tell.

With regards to ELROY's comment, the phone wasn't designed in Calgary, but Vtech did have an office in Calgary, perhaps they ironed out the bugs there. (I am Calgarian!)

Right now, my only complaint with the phone is the silly-looking Comic font, but it's minor and I'll get used to it.

cheers,
Mosquito

hey.. i got the a700 a few weeks ago from fido... i think its a pretty good phone for basics. (making and answering calls). I'm in Vancouver, and my reception is always full bars with the vtech a700. pretty good for an entry level phone, i think. the joystick is pretty cool... takes a bit of time to learn, the thing I like is that it kind of minimizes the number of buttons on the phone, making it look more modern. anyways, its a good buy. if you're deciding over the vtech a700 and the 3390, get the a700.

V-Tech only makes junk. I have their cordless phones in my store and I always warn my customers about their crap. If they can't make a decent cordless how are they even gonna try to make a cell phone?
If you really want to know how bad their stuff is, buy one of their cordless phones and try it for a week, then return it.

Hey, if you sell Panasonic cordless phones... what can you tell me about their vacuum cleaners?

Posted by: Player1

have u never heard of induction?

for all vtech cordless phones, P(x), if the cordless phones suck, then all their mobile phones suck as well.

hahaha i'm just playing.....dont' mind me
