I haven't seen it in person, but judging by the picture it looks like there's a snap on the top that you would unsnap to open the phone. It doesn't look like the screen is protected at the same time though.

pgens is right...you have to unsnap it to slide up for phone use.

Yeah it does, I'm thinking about ordering it online. I just hate how scratch-prone the slider is...that case would make it look sweet, and I could just keep a PDA screen protector on the phone so when I do need to slide the phone up, the screen is still protected...hmm

That case is worthless. The rep in the store could not even put it on my phone. The CLOWN even scratched my screen attempting it. Then he got the nerve to get mad cause I made him give me a new phone.

I recomend that you get the VM puch for the SLIDER. It fits perfectly and is not as bulky as that VZN one.

Seriously? I was very tempted to get this case for the Slider because it's the only one I've seen of it's kind. Why was it so hard to put on the phone? I don't really wanna get the pouch because you can't see the screen when it's protected, that's why I like this one so much.

I returned mine to Verizon and ordered the black Kyocera holder from Kyocera's website. It's nice and holds the phone well. I like it because it holds the Slider as is! I like the Slider without any additional bulk. That leather case thing ruins the whole Slider effect.
