Is it actually possible? I would like to be able to check / send e-mails immediately instead of doing it through HotSync.

If anyone knows how, I would appreciate if you give me step-by-step instructions.

No, I don't believe you can stream GPRS data through the IR port. You would need a bluetooth enabled phone and PDA to accomplish what you want to do.

The Zire 72 and T3 have Bluetooth.

There is the old Wireless modem kit as well but it may be a bit klugy.
