Ok, I got the USB cable yesterday, installed the drivers, hooked it up to my phone and the computer. Everything worked fine, up until two minutes ago! I had just used it, everything was fine..now every time I try to open the "/" directory it gives me this error message:

"LG-VX4400 on COM4 - The phone is not responding while transitioning mode from none to brew."

What the heck does that mean? Can anyone tell me what that means, and how I go about fixing it? Everything was connected fine, no loose connections or anything. I did notice that after I unhooked my phone and placed it where it had a bar of service, I got a few text messages..could that have something to do with it? Please help!

I am having the same problem with a verizon se 47 on winXP and 2000. It saw the file system for about 10 minutes, but couldn't change anything I was getting an error though I can't remember what it said exactly. Then I started getting the same error that was mentioned in the beginning of this post... Thanks in advance.

Update: I got BitPim 0.7-test9 to work with the USB cable to my phone. I downloaded it, chose "Other CMDA phone" from the menu when it asks you, and I keep my phone OPEN when I try to download..so far it's been working ok. I've been able to open the file system, and have been able to download a wallpaper. Let's hope it keeps working this well!

i went to the bitpim site and read everything i could find on this problem. what i got out of it is that it is a problem with port settings. i played with mine and got it to work again. i hope i've fixed it, but who knows. hope this helps.
