HBH-65 to T610 connection lost

I have searched everywhere and cannot find an answer to my problem. As of late, my HBH-65 heasdset and T610 cannot maintian a connection for more than 5 seconds. I used to be able to maintain a connection for as long as the batteries held up. I have fully recharged both units and yet the connection keeps dropping. My phone displays the very unhelpful "Bluetooth connection lost". I also deleted the pairing and re-paired the two. The result was the same - a lost connection. I am open to ideas.

Thanks,

Is there some sort of interference causing the drop connection?

I had a similar problem when I'm in my car, in that the connection drops or the quality of sound isn't to good.

Once I'm out of the car the connection stays up and the sound is clear.

Also, I just got my HBH-65 firmware updated.

What firmware is your HBH-65?

I don't think that it is an interference problem - the connection is broken wherever I happen to be. It used to be that I could use it all day, in a variety of places, and never lose the connection.

As to the firmware - I don't know how to check that for the headset or my phone. How do I check and more importantly, how do I get it updated? As I bought my headset via the net from a place in New York, I guess I'd be sending it off to get updated. Right? Or, perhaps my local T-Mobile shop could help... but they are always so clueless when it comes to the phones and accessories. Arrrrgh! Help!

Ok, to check firmware on the HBH-65 do the following

Make a bluetooth connection with the HBH-65, then select connectivity, accessories and select the HBH, you will see the firmware version.

Mine is R2C.

I guess you will have to do it quick, as your connection drops.

I got my HBH-65 updated at Bongowireless in Toronto.

You can either email them, info@bongowireless.com or call them at 905.709.1411...

It cost me $25 CAD to get mine updated @ Bongowireless.

(I'm not sure if the firmware update will resolve your connection issue, so maybe you should give them a call first).

PS: What firmware revision is your T610? (Mine is R4C001.)

John -
Sadly enough, I can't even get my HBH-65 to pair up with my phone anymore. I wonder if the battery is shot. After re-charging both units overnight I can't get them to connect. And get this: My T-610 still pairs wonderfully with my laptop yet, it doesn't even begin to pair with the headset unless it is physically right next to it! I am starting to think that what ever antenna that resides in my headset may be broken...

Anyway, just before seeing your last post, I reset my phone totally. My reasoning being, perhaps I downloaded something weird or one of my children mistakenly entered some wierd key-combo that screwed things up.

As to the firmware version of the phone - I am not sure. I guess I will need to take it to TMobile to find out... Arrrgh.
