How long before Palm drivers available for new phone?

I'm a former ATT customer who switched to Verizon for better service, but the one thing I really miss is my Bluetooth phone. Now that it looks like the v710 is right around the corner, I'm looking forward to getting it right away. But I just thought of something today: I intend to use the Bluetooth connection with my PDA (a Sony TH55 European model) and my laptop (a recent Powerbook). How long will it take before Palm and Mac drivers are available for this phone? My only BT phone with ATT was a T68i, so lots of support was available for it. Can anyone give me an idea of how long these things usually take?
