hey guys, i know how much you guys hate newbies and their dumb questions, cuz i was with nextel for a while and i spent a crapload of time in the nextel part of howardforums....but anyways i need help sendin pix/ringtones to my new vox 8600...........if anyone could be so kind to take out the time to help me out it would be great..............thanks a lot

First, call verizon and have them activate picture messaging for your phone. Then, you can email pictures and tones to yourself by using yournumber@vzwpix.com.

Tips:
-Don't put a 1 in front of your nubmer
-the phone takes .mid's as tones (and mp3's if you cut them down)
-.png's set at 145x125 will show up virtually borderless on the phone.

You are lucky I was feeling nice today, because simply browsing this forum for 20 mins would give you the answers to all those questions. I'm just glad you didn't ask about the data cable.

i did browse the forum and i read how to do it, i tried numerous times, i didnt see anywhere were it said to activate the piture messaging. and i am going to get a data cable and start to mess around with the codeplug sometime soon......thanks for the reply though KPT
