Erasing Display Info

I am trying to see if there is a way out there to eliminate the info in the display of the se47. I not only have the time in my display but I am from Puerto Rico and the carrier here is Centennial. Their internet access is called TurboNet. That info appears in the middle of the of the display avoiding any good look at any wallpaper. I have read many threads with out any answer to this problem. Can someone help me out. Thanks
