i got a t730c and i was wondering where i could get games and ringtones from?? anyone know of a website with alot of ringtones and games?? thanx in advance

ok i went to motoclubs website and downloaded games but they are jar and jad format.. i need brew or something dont i?? where can i find them?? and where can i get ringtones that actually download not take u to another website that has nothing to do with ringtones

Check groups.yahoo.com for ringtones, wallpaper, and games.

Search for either the T720 or T730 groups for the ringtones and wallpapers. For the BREW games, search for "LG VX4400 games"...even though the games come from a different phone, they work on the T730.

thanx but i didnt seem to find anything

if i can how can i run jad or jar files on my t730... i downloaded games but if its for a t720 and my computer reconizes it as a t720 why cant i load the jad and jar games?

You can't use the .jad and .jar files because they are made for JAVA enabled phones. Verizon phones use a Qualcomm chip, and are BREW enabled (.mif files). ok last stupid question... ok pst is looking for brw files.. how do i load mif files when its lookin for brw files and it wont upload mif....hope i get an answer quick.. i wanna finally get my phone completely modded

You'll need bitpim (search google for "bitpim"), but it only works with the .2dp firmware. You can get it from brewbackups.com if its not already loaded in your phone. To put the games on, you'll need to use the filesystem tab in bitpim, expand the "brew" folder, and then add the .mif files. After restarting your phone, the games with be on the phone, and will just need to be enabled

you can check the firmware by hitting menu -->settings -->phone status -->other information -->S/W version.

i was just wondering what all is this firmware goin to change on my phone?
and this firmware comes in 4 parts.. how do i make it 1 part and do i use pst to put it on my phone??

1) This firmware is going to downflash your phone. The only noticable change will be that your "Get It Now' version will change from 2 to 1.1, which allows you to add games for free through a data cable.
2) You need to download all 4 parts, then use winrar (available from download.com, search: winrar) to extract them and create one file.

Instructions for downflashing:
1. Restart CPU. Close all unnecessary programs(optional). Turn off cpu screensaver.
2. Connect phone, start PST. Go to file, new, and click on Field Update.
3. Check box next to software. Right click on software and choose your file. You'll see two lines under software. The path location of your file that you chose and under that untitlted flash file.(thats good).
4. On the toolbar you will see two arrows, a red one and a white one forming a cirlce click it and let the process being.

You'll need to point the device manager to the folder where PST is installed when it discovers a new device, i believe it was called "flash device". Also, near the end of the process PST will try to connect to the phone, but it will be off. Turn the phone on manually and let PST finish the downflash.

ok them instructions were great.. now i got the proper version on my phone but now bitpim wont find my phone.. the only com ports it has listed are 1 and 2 how do i get bitpim to reconize my phone and how do i add the games?

I had the same problem at first. The best way to fix the problem, and quickly, would be to purchase the FutureDial data cable for the Motorola T720 from Radioshack. The cable is about $20, but will definetly work. Once bitpim recognizes your phone, there will be a folder called "brew" in the filesystem. If you expand that you will see a bunch of .mif files, and folders that are numbered acording to what game/app they are. You can find a lot of free games from http://finance.groups.yahoo.com/group/LGVX4400games/. Once you have these games saved on your computer, load them onto your phone by right-clicking the "brew" folder, then clicking "save new file", i think...or just look for the one that allows you to save onto the phone. After, restart your phone and go into Get It Now....the game/app will be there, but will need to be restored.

I have a v400 and am having a hard time figuring out how to upload games. I can upload music and pics but cant get jar files to upload. Any ideas?
