Originally posted by Metal_gear so you guys already got the N820,man that looks like an awesome phone except for no bluetooth, but with 320 x 240 display, i would forget about bluetooth (not that i use them anyway )i've search the web for the review on this phone but i couldn't find one, probably coz this phone is pretty new, so could you guys give a quick review of this phone? like rf, sound quality, the menu speed, and the speed of the phone in general like when loading games, java aps, sms, or pictures and things like that. can you also comments on the pros and cons of this phone Thanks Mg |

Using IR and USB to manage the phone is okay...but it's just easier with bluetooth! Also, the UI might be on the complex side for some users...but in my opinion...it's still better than Moto's UI~|

Originally posted by Blazers4ever Can you post a picture taken with the phone? I'd like to compare it to me GX-20. Of all the VGA camera phones I've tried, the Sharp takes the best pictures. I wanna see if this phone beats it. Question: can you download video clips (with the N820) larger then 100k? This is one of my gripes with the GX-20. Another question: does the phone support J2ME MIDP 2.0 (or at least 1.0) as well as DoJa? That was a gripe I had with the 515/525 (they only support DoJa). Thanks |
thanks.. i know how to get the picture in now.. thanks deadtamago... anyway.. i just have one more question??.. that it ok.. so where do you go find all the ringtone for it.. is there a page of this forum that have that kind of ring tone.. ?

Originally posted by deadTamago The display is awesome! I'll say it's only second to Sharp's...since Sharp's CG silicon displays are brighter...but other than that, NEC's display delivers just as beautiful and fine pictures as the Sharp's display. The large screen inherit from the JDM models makes browsing the web with a cellphone much more comfortable! I really like the Openwave browser integrated in the N820. It's a very powerful browser. RF is good, although this phone doesn't have the 850 band but it still manages to pickup signals and hold on to it at some underground places in downtown Toronto. Sound qualities for both sending and receiving are good, just like what we all expect from a cellphone these days! The response speed in general (i.e. loading game, sms, etc) for a N820 is fast. The only time the N820 might appeared slow to some people is when you're browsing the picture folder in the phone in gallery view...but it's not slow enough to cause any irritation! ![]() The complain I have towards this phone is the lack of bluetooth. I'm a fan of SonyEricsson~ and I got brain washed Using IR and USB to manage the phone is okay...but it's just easier with bluetooth! Also, the UI might be on the complex side for some users...but in my opinion...it's still better than Moto's UI~As for battery performance...my N820's battery is still on it's first charge...so can't give an informative comment. btw, the 3D java game is cool! I've read a review somewhere saying this phone's got a second processor dedicated to java apps. |
