Help with software please!

hello everyone, well theres 3 problems i have and im hoping that somebody can please help me!
Problem 1: I have a data cable, and a cd containing software to put on my phone, this isnt working! does anyone know of any programs that can help me out. im trying to find programs like PST but right now im trying to use BREW application loader, so if anybody has any suggestions, please help!
Problem 2: some of the applications i am using are Jad files and Jar i believe it is, but some programs such as Midwest wont take those, is there any programs that do, or a way to convert those?
well if anyone can help me out i would be greatly appreciated, thanks much!
