has anyone tried the inno 99? how is it in terms of RF and sound quality?

some people described the inno 90 to be a good phone, but something innostream just kind of threw together. is this the case with the inno 99? it has the 850 band so i'm guessing it is also being marketed in NA.

also, i've read that a few people are weary about buying innostream phones because of the potential lack of support if there's a problem with it. how WOULD one go about seeking support if there is a problem with the product?

thanks guys.

I don't have/used a Inno 99 but I had the Inno 90 and 89 and the reception quality was completely different even if they had the same band. The 89 had a way better reception than the 90 so if you are going with the 99, you should go with the dual band version(850/1900).

Dunno about support but I found the phone to be great, of course with the data cable and software except for one thing and that is that you cannot transfer .gif file into the phone with the software. Innostream phones support .gif but the software doesn't.

the 850 version isn't out yet. All the ones currently available are triband 900/1800/1900

i dont think theres an exact release date (i dont think innostream ever even releases release dates for that matter...)

but what provider are you gonna be using the phone for? if your provider doesnt support 850, then its probably a better idea to get the standard tri-band - it all depends on where you are located and who your provider is

i have the inno 90 and havent had better reception with any other phones - i think the rf is superb - i get full signal in places id be lucky to even get one bar with other phones

if youre in the states - the only carriers that support 850 are cingular/att - otherwise, youre better off with the tri-band version

if youre in canada - them im not sure - i think a bunch of providers support 850 up there, in which case, getting the 850 version would be a better choice...

yeah, i'm using rogers in canada which uses the 850 band and the 1900 band so i'd prefer the 850 version of the inno 99.
thanks for your help!

There is no official inno99 release yet, however in taiwan market,a phone called i2300 has released in dec 2003,basically it is just a inno90 but different in design, and the function is exactly the same as inno90.

the i2300 is the inno 99. The 850 version of the 99 is the one that hasn't been released yet
