What phone do you recommend for running over with a truck?

I moved this weekend. Didn't notice my phone fall out of my pocket while getting in the truck. Drove a block away in the 26' U-Haul, and missed my phone. Drove back, and there it was - in the street.
It's pockmarked on the back from being forced into the blacktop, and part of the display is history. I can only read the lower half of the banner line.
Other than that, it works fine!
BTW, I had to call U-Haul for a mechanic TWICE in one weekend to fix their pile of junk truck. And they were RUDE about it.
I'll never again rent from U-Haul.

Which model phone do you have? I'm somewhat surprised that it didn't break hitting the asphalt. These newer kyo. phones don't seem to be as well made as the older ones like the 2700 or 2760. Glad it still works though...maybe you can find a junk one and pull the lcd out and put into yours...good as new.
My friend has a sony-ericcson T610 which fell out of his pocket onto the driveway (dirt, not asphalt). It was raining out and he actually ran over it with his truck. Realized it was gone a couple miles down the road and went back to get it. Nary a scratch on it, but it didn't work....well, after it dried out for a couple days, it was back up and running.
Oh yeah, and never use u-haul. Go with anyone else as they all have newer trucks.

Oooops! Sorry!
It's a 2135. Pretty decent durability, I'd say. I was really surprised. If one of the old Motorola 8000 phones had survived that, I'd have thought nothing of it - those things were built like tanks.
But since most of the newer phones are GARBAGE, I was pleasantly surprised.
Oh, and did I mention that I'll never again rent from U-Haul?
Never rent from U-Haul.

Looks like I spoke too soon. My phone doesn't want to charge anymore. I have to play with it quite a bit to get the charger to make a connection, and it won't stay that way.

LOL somebody should try running over those old Nokia 5100 series types of phones. Those things are so durable, I wonder how they would hold up to something like an automobile running over them.

good ol' kyocera s
i'd say a rave would survive that... it's like, half metal, half LEXAN resin type stuff....

Feh. Look twice, post once. I ran over my 2235. I'm looking for my old 2135 - it's around here in a box somewhere. I'll probably use that until my "New every 2" kicks in this fall and I don't know what I'll get then.

Why? Sell me!
(No, you don't have to sell me on the brand, just the model.)
