If i send something from Toronto to Edmonton, this would be considered domestic so there shouldn't be any customs checks or anything at all right?! Well i had someone send me their phone from TO and when i recieve the box today it had all these stickers on it "Opened by customs" and the box was cut, pieces of it were hanging there... and it was just a complete mess. i hoped that the phone and everythign inside would be fine, but when i opened it the handset was missing and parts of everything were all over the place loose. There was a letter in the box stating that there were "suspicous electronic pieces" within the box and if i wanted to re-claim the item i would have to goto the crown?! WTF?! why would something like this happen for a domestic shipping??? and what can i do in order to get my phone back?

i will scan the letter, later today when i get back home so you guys can see what im talking about... unfortunately im at school right now so i can't do aynthing about it, please someone help me... very very angry with customs right now...

So you paid for everything and there is No phone in the box?

I'm considering buying a phone and having it shipped from Toronto to Vancouver.
This is seriously giving me second thoughts.
Please post more. I wanna know how things turn out

on a sidenote......do these kinda situations happen alot with Canada Customs?
