I am new to the forums so be patient with me. I just ordered a motorola v300 camera phone for tmobile and I keep coming across forums talking about Flashing and Flexing the phone. Can anyone please explain what this is and what it does and how I could do it????

try the moto forum?

all phones have "firmware", it's basically the operating system of the phone if you will... often a manufacturer will upgrade the firmware of a particular phone; nice but what if you've already purchased the phone and have the older firmware? flashing a phone will install the newer firmware

if you're not 100% sure of what you're doing, it's not something i'd recommend doing alone: pay a professional to do it

Thanks...that helps a little bit. I tried to click the link that you gave and it does not exist anymore. I tried searching and all i can find it discussion on it ...but HOW do I do it??? What exactly do you do to FLEX a phone....Do i need software? or A special tool?? Can anyone help....or tell me where to find BASIC INFO?/
