When I send them, it takes anywhere from 15 seconds to 2 minutes. But I am in a 1X area w/5 bars of signal. Did you get the "SEND SUCCESS" message?

If you are not in a 1X area, or you change your rev to 4 as some have suggested in this forum, you will not be able to retreive the files.... though you should still receive a notification.... hmmmm I don't know what would happen if you were in analog.....

spacemanps,

First off, make sure you entered the address correctly, it must be in the format of "3214569876@vzwpix.com", which I am positive you did correctly.

The next thing to know is that by default, I think Verizon disables the ability to recieve picture messages (emails w/ pictures). The same thing happened to me. What you need to do is call *611 which is a free support call 24/7 and kindly explain to them that you need the ability to recieve images from emails through vzwpix.com. Depending on which wing nut you get, it could take a while for them to cooperate. The lady I had asked me if I wanted to buy the group picture service (like 4.99/month extra for like 50 pix or something). I persistantly told her NO, that I wanted just the ability to recieve emails w/ images to your phone.

Dont worry about any you have already tried to send to your phone that didnt go through, because they are failed messages and you wont be charged for those. Keep in mind it is .25 cents per photo email, but remember that you can use this method to send ringtones and bg pix for a helluvalot cheaper!

Good luck and happy celling,

-Wes

Why dont you spend the 25 cents and just send it to yourself with Outlook Express, just enter yournumber@vzwpix.com and it will go to your phone, throw in media and set as ringtone.
