VM slider wallpapers, mp3 tones

OK well i am an absolute, bona fide noob with phone modification. I've searched on numerous websites (including this one) for information on how i can get custom wallpapers and mp3 ringtones on my virgin mobile kyocera slider. I purchased it pretty recently, and i do know that
i have the newer software that doesn't allow the free wap trick to be performed by adding the mobile address as a new contact .
Simple as this: is there ANY way for me to have custom graphics and/or mp3 tones with my particular phone, and if so, what are the best noob-friendly instructions you can give? I apologise if the answers are all over the forums, but i have searched dilligently throughout the forums and so i finally decided to just ask. thanks alot,
