Kyocera 7135 - Palm OS version

I've noticed that the current Palm OS version in the 7135 is 4.1. This is surprising to me because 5.x has been available for a while.
Has anyone successfully upgraded a phone to 5.x?

Wrong processor. PalmOS 5+ won't run on the dragonball.
The 7135 came out in Spring '03 before PalmOS 5.0 was released. Verizon testing took nearly a year to get the phone to the marketplace.

you cant upgrade your 7135 to palmos5, you'll mess it up big time
the phone software and the pda software on it have to be installed as a pair, and it'll never be upgraded
