I own a Sharp GX32 and I love it. Though, i think the phone can do so much more but it has software restrictions which sucks!! i feel like if i have been cheated!!!!!!! Why hasn't anybody been able to extract any of Sharp's firmware from it's phone. It is soooo easy for people to extract and play around with samsung and motorola's firmwares, when are we going to get some programmers and people who know about cell phone software step up to the plate and start giving us some good news. Sharp phones are great phones but i haven't seen anyone willing to mess around with them. Can anyone please find out how to take off the software restrictions of the GX32/30?????? i would be very happy and so will everyone who owns a gx32. Thank you for your time. I hope someone can enlighten me with some good news!!!!!! All i am asking is for someone to come out with an unlocking program or a program that can extract the sharp's firmware just like the optiflash for the samsung. I WANT THOSE SOFTWARE RESTRICTIONS OFF!!!!!!! (BLUETOOTH AND VIDEO 400KB)

compaired to other phones...

I guess that's the reason but is there any programmers that can extract the firmware. Does anyone here know a person that has knowledge on this topic in these forums????????? Please can someone please step up?

Why doesn't anyone want to follow up on messing around and making Sharp phones we have now better than what they are. Just picture the difference!!!!!!

I think the bluetooth limitations are the major complaint with most people.

You can't use it to connect to a laptop/PC etc. It can only be used for a bluetooth handsfree heatset at this time.

how can we take off the bluetooth limitation which only allows you to connect with headset????/ and how can we take off the 400kb limitation on video playback??????

Add to that the 50k midi limit, 59 secs alarm sounds, 15 secs msg sounds, ir limits, ability to install apps (not via wap only) and god knows what else haha.

I don't really know how to change it. But if we can extract the firmware and then maybe someone with knowledge of SoftIce or anything else can change limits in it.

You need to write a new communcation for the phone to make it possible to connect to a pc (if it's not hidden in the firmware). So thats up to Sharp or VF I think. But the limits is just a simple number and maybe it is easy to change?
