Help me decide: 6230, T630, SL55, or V600?

Hi everyone,

I wanna get one of the above phones and not sure which one to get? I am currently with Rogers GSM but will change to Fido when my contract expires, I will also travel to Europe this summer and need something that works there. So, I need at least a tri-band phone.

I like a phone with good reception, good user interface, cool look, and good screen. I am not so concerned about camera quality or games, or other goodies. I just like the basic phoen functionalities to be the best (reception, ease of use, ergonomics, batt. life) with somewhat of a cool look to go with it. I also DEFINATELY want the feature to assign different ring-tones to different callers when they call. Not sure what is this called, but it's very important to me.

So, based on that, which of the Nokia 6230, SonyEricsson T630, or Motorola V600 are better? I also included Siemens SL55.

I also usually don't change phones frequently and wanna have something to last me a while.

my suggestion would be a v600...

quad band
nice design
dont know about the UI
good screen
i think you can assign ringtones to groups, as well you can assign the light on the front flip to different groups...so you get different colours for different groups who call

As tequilaworm stated, i also vote for the v600. Quad band will give you great reception not only in Europe, but also on Rogers Wireless due to the 850.

Look wise, nothing beats the nice feeling you get when you hold onto a nice metal faceplated phone! And as treatz and others stated a couple of times, the moto vxxx series got some amazing RF to go with it.

with the nice flashing lights in the front .. it seem to have excatly what you're looking for.

V600 gets my vote out of that bunch as well. Great reception, keys are fairly easy to use (not too small/cramped like say a t630 and especially the sl55). Plus a very large screen, and it's got the ringtone feature you're looking for as well. I was never really into motorola phones, but this one has definately changed my opinion on their newer phones. Great build quality too, nice and solid.

V600, I have it and love it! I am partial since I have owned Motorola phones but it takes nice pics with a 4x zoom, MP3 ring tones, mpeg4 video, games, etc.... and BLUETOOTH!!!!!!

Well from those things, I would say the V600. The UI isnt great but you will get used to it.

In general for looks go for V600
For Features go for Nokia 6230
For a mix of both (and cheaper) go for SE T630

Stay away from the SL55
