Originally posted by Pinkas Why not going with the GX32 ? *It has a much better screen. *It has a much better camera. It has stereo MP3 player, 3D games platform, GPRS class 10, SD 'Hot Swap' slot up to 2GB. On the other hand, it has a pretty big and rather ugly form-factor. And no Stereo speakers like E398. Furthermore, the E398 will cost less. I'd say that if you're looking for young & cool features and design, and a very very good value phone, you should go for the E398(and not the Nokia 6230). And it you're looking for an expensive, Hi-End, superb screen and a MegaPixel phone, you should get the GX32. |

Originally posted by tiger33 agree i've used all of these phones and havent reviewed the E398 www.mototone.co.uk/reviews.asp i would have to say its an excellent phone the sharp doesnt have a data bluetooth profile so u can only use bluetooth in headset mode. |
, but what about the two others. |
Originally posted by Kycleung Thanxs for all advice, they helped me loads. To tiger33, can you tell me which mp3 player quality is best out of 6230 and GX32. Obv. e398 has best quality , but what about the two others. Thanxs agen |

Originally posted by tiger33 i would say GX32 is a little better but they are both really standard with MP3's and its the head phones that u use that makes the most difference to quality |

Originally posted by Kycleung Oh rite yeh of course. Do u know if u can use ur own headphones with the 6230 or GX32? Or do you have to use special ones like included in the box? Thanxs |

Originally posted by cy88 You sure you used all phones before? I am using 6230 myself and have actually used GX32 and e398 as well (Not as much). Nokia uses Pop Port for headphones, you cannot use normal headphone. It comes with a stereo one in the package. GX32 and e398 i did not have a chance to test out the mp3 function because i didn't have a big enough SD and T-Flash card(this is what e398 takes) around. However as far as i know, it uses a plug that is same as MPX200, 2.5mm. I recall the GX32 and the pre-production model e398 only came with a normal handsfree. Need a confirmation on it. Therefore they do not support normal headphones unless you modify it. I personally liked the 6230 due to the facts that: -Small -FAST..fast like monochrome phones -Good camera (VGA) -nice mp3 ringtone Great reception GX32 is definitely good for it's screen and camera however the BT limitation really turns me down. Also it's HUGE. e398 is little long, but it does have the nice "rubbish" feel in hand. The screen is slight better than V600, camera same, stereo speakers sound really nice. You can actually feel the bass in hand. Reception-wise 6230 wins over GX32/e398 hands down. Not that the sharp and motos are bad, but just cannot be compared with 6230 (1900Mhz). Only down side is the screen size of the 6230.

Originally posted by tiger33 O by the way when the E398 does get released onto the market it will be packaged with a 64MB T-Flash Card and if i'm correct the nokia only comes with a 32MB MMC maybe cy88 can confirm that. But we need to remember that if you are planning on getting a phone now then you're only real options are the Sharp and the Nokia as the E398 isnt even available yet and when the E398 does come out it will be released only a few weeks before the MPX100, and other phones. (MPX100 comes with a 1.3mp camera) Personally i'm actually holding out on getting a new phone because this summer (in europe at least) there are alot of nice phone coming out onto the market, If you can wait then way not hold off a little and see what the following phones have to offer first Siemens S65 Samsung D710 Samsung E800 Motorola MPX220 Motorola MPX100 Nokia 7610 (assuming you are in europe) |

Originally posted by cy88 You are correct, 6230 comes with 32MB MMC. But the e398 i got didn't have any T-Flash card

Originally posted by tiger33 Yep thats because the cards are not available yet (only a lucky few have them

Plus they will have no use for them before they get the e398
