Hi all, Juz collected my phone today.. wicked..
love the cam, screen!!

I have many wallpapers which i wanna use on my gx32, mostly in bmp.
1st i do not have a data cable, but i do have a sd/mmc card reader.

Somehow after i transfer my files to the sd/mmc, i cant even view them, much less unable to set as wallpaper.

Ringtones. i have some tones frm my samsung which is mmf with vibs and leds. They to cant be played...

What m i doing wrong here?

I;ve tried changing the pictures into jpg with no avail. i still can use pictures i downloaded in sd/mmc.

I've read thru the whole forum, yet nothing seems to help.
no one spoke if we needed to create a new folder or how to use pics and wallpapers.

Well...Did you FORMAT your SD card on your GX32 yet??

If you did, you should be able to access to 4 different folders on your card reader: Backup, Pictures, Sounds, and Video.

if you didn't format yet, you have to insert the SD Card to your phone, then go to Menu, go to Settings, then choose Card Settings, and select Format. After you formatted, you should be able to see above 4 folders, then you can download whatever you want according to the types of the folder.

Nah its not about formatting the card.
But u need the Handset manager for the phone to be able to read the files.
That can only be done thru the handset manager.
All other files like pictures and tones u cant transfer them directly to the memory card.
The phone wont be able to read or open them.

well after downloading a few diffrent handset managers, 1 worked.... the gx phone manager.

so You are ok to download the pic or ringtones from PC to your card now??

for me, i don't need any handset manager to transfer pic or ringtone to my SD card.

ya, funny thing i dun understand, why i cant juz load them directly to the memory card......

Everything has to be loaded frm the manager thru ir.

If i loaded them directly to the memory card, i wont be able to read or open the file.

I don't need to use the Handset Manager either. I can just drop my files into the appropriate folder on the SD card and my phone reads them no probs.

I don't like the way it doesn't like sub folders though. You have to keep all your pictures in 1 folder which is a bummer.

Funny thing is only mp3 i can transfer directly to my mmc. nothing else works
