Innostream Inno 90 -->Serious Problem(Phone failure??)

Ok i've had this phone for about a month now, and other than crappy reception have been really satisfied with this phone. But now i may be regretting it....
Today, I opened the flip and noticed the screen was half chopped off vertically straight down the center. The left side was black, the right was normal. I shutdown the phone thinking a "reboot" would solve the problem. Now it doesn't even turn on. If i hold the power on button for the normal time and release, the main screen flashes on and off...If i hold the power on button while the screen flashes on for a few more seconds the screen stays on but is kinda frozen and after a second the opening sequence starts but without sound, then freezes at the end, and then powers down.
What's interesting is that if I take out the Sim card, the same thing happens where if I only quickly press the power on button, the screen flashes...But if i hold it down, the opening sequence fully loads, followed by my welcome message followed by my wallpaper(filling up the whole screen as normal) Only it says "Insert Sim Card" and at the bottom left it says "SOS".
Can you guys provide any help as to this or is the phone just completely dead?

this sucks...
I don't get why it loads without a simcard though...
Is there anyway to do a master reset or anything like that without going into any of the menus?

There was an extensive thread on this topic before. This happened to my phone too, but it started working again later.

can you link me to the thread, or give me search terms to find it?
