Hi,

Are the 8600 series phones all basically the same? I have an 8610 from Virgin Mobile and am looking for a case, car charger, etc... and only see the 8600 listed at most places. Will these work?

Just go over to Target they have alot of accessories. I just picked up a body glove for my 8610, i didnt like the one that VM had for it, but they also have the car charger(Slider V5) that will work on the phone.

Though the phones are similar, a number of accessories for the 8600 will *not* work with the 8610.

You can see the 8610 at the Audiovox.com website to see the appropriate accessories / model numbers for it.

For example, the car charger compatible with the 8610 is model number CLC4 (or CLC4B). This charger actually works with models such as the 8400, 8410, 8450, 8900, 9900, and 9950, but NOT the 8600.

I've read there is an 8610-specific case (made by Sanyo) that some have found at places like Target.

The case for the 8500/8600 (the LB8500) might work with the 8610, but the 8610 is ever-so-slightly larger than the other phones, especially in width--by about .2 inch--so it might be a risk.

So far, the best overall place I've found to at least browse accessories is discountcell.com, but the 8610 is not listed specifically (yet). You can find the aforementioned charger and case there though if you want to see them.

You can get the charger at target also, i sen it there.and if you want a case for the 8610 try the scooba suit one, it fits wide okay but when you fip it open the phone still has room and also it has a material thing at the top so it stretches. I read that a guy bought the sayno case and had to take it back a few times and find the right one to fit. plus the little hole isnt punched to see if there is a call coming in. The car charger for the slider works on the 8610 and it is only 9 bux i think at target and the sayno case is 9 bux as well. I got the scooba case for 12 bux.

What about faceplates? Will 8600 faceplates fit on the 8610?
