Does this work? I found a site that said you could email to your vzwpix address a midi and save/download it. Has this worked for anyone or do you need the USB cable and software?

Do you mean what site did I get the midi file from, or what site did the directions come from?
I don't remember the site where I got it from. This is an older midi file on my PC that I downloaded awhile ago. (Does it matter what kind of midi file you use?) I think I got directions from this forum site.
I sent a message to xxxxxxxxxx(my number)@vzwpix.com with "test" as the subject and body, with the midi attached.

the midi must be less than 30 kb to save it. if u use a program like outlook express or mail (mac os), u'll get that message. use yahoo or hotmail mail and it will work. if the midi is over 30 kb, itll still play but u cant use it as a ringer
hope this helps. i wasted a lot of msgs trying to figure this out
